I have been dreaming for a while now of a rich, moisturising, bubbly soap which is also gently exfoliating. I decided to use sunflower oil as a base. Sunflower oil is rich in vitamins A and E, and both these vitamins act as antioxidants. They help regenerate damaged skin cells and get rid of acne-causing bacteria. And of course, sunflower oil is naturally moisturising which is excellent for dry, sensitive skin. It is also said to restrain the production of melanin and fight post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Now team these properties with coconut oil with its anti-inflammatory properties and cocoa butter, and you have a winning combination.
Because ground sunflower seeds are used in face masks for a glowing skin I have incorporated them into this soap for a mild exfoliating effect and also for their revitalizing effects. I mustn’t forget that this Sunflower Scrub soap is also enriched with Aloe gel. Surely something so delicious should be edible.
